FUTY GETS NEW VICE CHANCELLOR

Professor B.H. Usman has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the Federal University0 of Technology, Yola (FUTY). Until his appointment, Professor B.H. Usman was the past Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) and Acting Vice Chancellor, FUTY.

He has a B.Sc. in Agriculture (Soil Science) with a second class honours, upper division degree, from the University of Maiduguri. M.Sc. in Soil Chemistry, University of Reading, England, U.K. and Ph.D in Soil Fertility and Fertilizer Management from the University of London, Wye College, England, U.K.

He now becomes the 6th Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Yola.     More>>

ABOUT THE CENTRE

The Centre is responsible for the provision of medical care in the University.  Both staff and their spouses as well as students receive free medical services except for dispensing of drugs.  The Centre is open on 24 hour basis with 3 shifts.

The Public Health section of the Centre ensures that there is good sanitation in the campus and is responsible for immunization and mass vaccination.  In addition, Ante-natal care, child welfare and family planning services are provided by staff specially trained for that.

New staff and students are expected to register with the Health Centre before enjoying any services of the centre.  A medical certificate of fitness plus a passport photograph must be submitted to the Health Centre.
