FUTY GETS NEW VICE CHANCELLOR

Professor B.H. Usman has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the Federal University0 of Technology, Yola (FUTY). Until his appointment, Professor B.H. Usman was the past Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) and Acting Vice Chancellor, FUTY.

He has a B.Sc. in Agriculture (Soil Science) with a second class honours, upper division degree, from the University of Maiduguri. M.Sc. in Soil Chemistry, University of Reading, England, U.K. and Ph.D in Soil Fertility and Fertilizer Management from the University of London, Wye College, England, U.K.

He now becomes the 6th Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Yola.     More>>

FUTY COMMERCIAL  GUEST  HOUSE

Functions

The Commercial Guest House is a self-generating venture of the University.  It was first established in 1989 with the aim of catering for university guest on their first 28 days, visiting lecturers, sabbatical staff etc.  However, the unit is fully commercialized now with 15 rooms; 10 single rooms and 5 double rooms. 

Services rendered by the Commercial Guest House include provision of accommodation, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, minerals etc) and laundry services.  The guest house also operates 24 hours. 

The Commercial Guest House has just been renovated and has all facilities functional..  Charges in the Commercial Guest house are as follows:

Single rooms  N2,000.00 daily

Double rooms  N2,400.00 daily
